Raised in North Carolina, Eric Bader studied film production at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, discovering his passion for camera movement and lighting. He continued his education at Florida State University, graduating with an MFA concentrating in cinematography and promptly moving to Los Angeles. Beginning his career as a set lighting technician and then a gaffer, he was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of working with the Muppets.
As a director of photography, he has shot countless projects including narrative features, music videos for Green Day, Fall Out Boy (whose video for "Champion" was nominated for a 2018 MTV Video Music Award), and Panic! At The Disco (whose video for "Death of a Bachelor" was featured in American Cinematographer), television shows for Cartoon Network, Showtime, and Netflix, and commercial content for brands such as NBC, Gibson Guitars, Amazon, Target, and Macy's. He currently lives in a quiet neighborhood of Los Angeles that no one has heard of, and he’ll definitely shoot your project if it has time travel or dinosaurs.
